Celebrating 50 years of The Living Storybook

The Living Storybook Series

Interactive plays for Students, Libraries, Special Needs Groups, and Adults. Adapted from classic books and stories. These plays promote the love of READING and help develop performance skills with young people.

The Living Storybook Program

The Living Storybook is our name for the style of dramatic presentation that we use when teaching, performing with, and directing young people. The program was developed by Peter Holland when he was the dramatist-in-residence for the Stokes County Arts Council, NC in 1977.

Currently performing The Living Storybook at The Star Theatre, in Stuart, VA in partnership with One Family Productions.

Recent performances have included- Interactive Alice and Wonderland, Interactive Oz, and Storybook Peter Pan, all adapted and music by Peter Holland.

Storybook Shows have been performed throughout NC and VA and are available for your school or organization.

The Hollands are also available for school Residencies, Workshops, Camps, and Special Needs Programs.

One of the main themes of the Living Storybook is inclusion. We want to inspire and involve everyone with our theatrical art.

You can be whatever you want to be.
